Q. Who is Classic Coach?
A. Classic is the ninth largest integrated transportation firm in the United States. Classic has serviced the Tri-State area since 1976 with College Student Transportation, Airport Transportation, Motorcoach, Casino Line Runs, and Wedding Service. Please note the fact sheet below on Classic.
Many factors should be considered when evaluating a motorcoach transportation company that suits your needs. Considerations including safety, equipment, drivers, insurance coverage, office staff responsiveness, preventative maintenance, roadside assistance and overall reputation are all vital elements.
Safety
Classic has a full time safety director who continually trains and re-trains the motorcoach operators in defensive driving and several other safety issues. Classic has earned the Robert T. McRell award by the United Motorcoach Association (UMA), which is the highest award for safety in the motorcoach industry. Classic has also recently received the Trax “400 Point” Risk Control Award of Excellence from its industry peers. In addition, every motorcoach is GPS trackable in the event of an emergency.
IDrive
Classic has established itself as a pioneer in the motorcoach industry for its safety program. It was the first company in the U.S. to utilize DriveCam technology on all motorcoaches and has now migrated to a more sophisticated system called “IDrive” which is a camera system that identifies high risk driving habits (as well as records any road incidents) and allows the company to positively reinforce safe driving practices which has lowered annual accident rates.
Driving Simulator
Classic Coach employs a driving simulator to test drivers before they even hit the road in a motorcoach – again proving our company is at the forefront of safety technology. We use this as a method to train and re-train our drivers as well as to expose drivers to diverse driving conditions and scenarios without risk to equipment or passengers. It is an excellent preparation tool.
Equipment
Classic has a new fleet of luxuriously appointed motorcoaches that are fully equipped with comfortable seating, video consoles and lavatories. Classic’s late model fleet of coaches significantly reduces the amount of mechanical problems typically associated with older equipment.
Drivers
Classic has one of the best driver retention rates in the industry. Over 70% of Classic’s drivers have been with the company for over ten years. Classic drivers are seasoned professionals that deliver consistent customer service. Most of our drivers are New York State 19A certified and qualified for school charters. They also receive continuous training in numerous safety issues and defensive driving techniques. A uniformed, safe driver with an upbeat personality can make the difference in the enjoyment of your trip whether around the block or across the country.
Insurance Coverage
Classic has each of their motorcoaches insured for 10 million dollars of coverage per motorcoach.
